2024 CFL Combine to Be Streamed Live from Winnipeg, Features Announced

The Return of Livestreaming to the CFL Combine

After receiving significant feedback for not broadcasting the 2023 Combine, the Canadian Football League responds. The 2024 CFL Combine set in Winnipeg will see part of its proceedings streamed live on CFL+, offering fans a glimpse into the annual showcase.

The following events will be livestreamed on the league’s official livestreaming platform, CFL+:

    • March 21 – 2 p.m. CT/3 p.m. ET | Bench Press
    • March 21 – 7 p.m. CT/8 p.m. ET | 40-yard Dash
    • March 24 – 10 a.m. CT/11 a.m. ET | Individual drills and practice session

Events and Announcers

Live from The Fort Garry Hotel and WSF Soccer North starting from March 21, the coverage rolls out, beginning at 3:00 p.m. ET with the bench press exercises. This session will be followed by the forty-yard dash in the evening. The voices of the event include CFL on TSN’s Marshall Ferguson, draft expert Duane Forde, and former GM Jim Barker.

A Pause and a Hiatus

After the initial day of events, the livestream will pause for two days. Activities resume on March 24 for the final day, starting at 11:00 a.m. ET. The broadcast will feature engaging segments, including interviews by Willie Jefferson and mic’d up sessions, drawing fans closer to the action. However, the broadcasts on March 22 and 23 are not scheduled.

Accessibility and Engagement

While complete coverage of the event is not planned, live results and leaderboards will be hosted on CFL.ca. This move aims to increase accessibility for fans, providing updates in real-time.

Leading Up to the Draft

Prospects will report in Winnipeg for medical checks starting March 19. This preparation sets the stage for the culmination of the pre-draft process, with the 2024 CFL Draft scheduled for April 30. This approach to broadcasting and engagement highlights the CFL’s commitment to bringing the fans closer to the league’s future stars.
