Joining the Stampeders on September 16, Thompson has been a consistent presence on the field. Over the course of four regular season bouts, he accumulated one defensive tackle and contributed with a special teams stop.

Thompson’s experience with the Stampeders extends beyond the 2022 season, having been part of the team’s training camp in 2021. Before his tenure with Calgary, he had stints with both the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Throughout his CFL career comprising 16 games, Thompson has notched a total of 24 defensive tackles and eight special teams tackles, as well as securing one fumble recovery.

An alumnus of Wilfrid Laurier University, Thompson’s football prowess was evident during his collegiate years. He earned the title of Ontario University Athletics all-star three times, a testament to his skill on the field.
