Hamilton Tiger-Cats Sign Three Players, Including Defensive Back Arquon Bush

After a busy first week of December that included signing nine players, the Tiger-Cats have continued their momentum by signing three additional players. The most recent additions to the Hamilton roster are American defensive backs Arquon Bush, Maxwell Worship, and former BC Lions kicker Keiran Burnham. All three players bring experience at the professional level of football, with both defensive backs getting a taste of life in the NFL and, in the case of Burnham, significant successful playing experience in the CFL.

A Pair Of Defensive Backs

Arquon Bush and Maxwell Worship come to Hamilton after spending time with NFL teams. Those experiences, along with a successful career in college football, point to the possibility that both players can become contributors to the Tiger-Cats. Bush also brings that experience of playing with current NFL standout Sauce Gardner from his playing experience in Cincinnati.

Bush is a 23-year-old, 6’0″, 198-pound defensive back from Cleveland, Ohio. Collegiately, Bush played five seasons at the University of Cincinnati from 2018 until 2022. While playing for Cincinnati, Bush played in 49 games and accumulated 115 tackles, four tackles for loss, nine interceptions, deflected 32 passes, forced two fumbles, recovered one fumble, and blocked two kicks. He spent 2023 with the Seattle Seahawks after being signed as an undrafted free agent.

Maxwell Worship is a 24-year-old, 6’1″, 210-pound defensive back from Coral Springs, Florida. Worship played five college football seasons at Vanderbilt University from 2018 until 2022. While at Vanderbilt, Worship played in 54 games and produced 153 tackles, including 4.5 for negative yards, two interceptions, eight pass deflections, and forced one fumble. He has experience with the Tennessee Titans after participating in their rookie minicamp.

Coming Back Home To Ontario

National kicker Keiran Burnham spent the last three seasons kicking for the BC Lions in 2023 after spending two seasons with the Calgary Stampeders during the 2021 and 2022 seasons. Burnham is a 28-year-old kicker from Cambridge, Ontario.

He is a former U Sports product who played college football at Saint Francis Xavier University for four seasons from 2016 until 2020. While at Saint Francis Xavier, Burnham played in 32 games, made 29 out of 27 field goal attempts with a long of 47 yards, and went 27 for 27 on extra point attempts. He also has punting experience, with 234 punts for 9,002 yards while playing for the X-Men.
