2026 CFL Canadian Draft Results: Team-by-Team Pick Breakdown

The 2026 CFL Canadian Draft finished on April 28, 2026. All nine teams added Canadian talent across eight rounds and 74 total selections.

The Ottawa REDBLACKS opened the night by taking Purdue offensive lineman Giordano Vaccaro with the first overall pick. The Toronto Argonauts, Edmonton Elks, Winnipeg Blue Bombers, and Hamilton Tiger-Cats rounded out the top five.

2026 CFL Canadian Draft Quick Notes

Offensive linemen led the way among first-round picks, with Vaccaro (Ottawa), Henning (Toronto), and Denis (Hamilton) all going in the top five. Linebackers followed close behind, with Djabome (Edmonton) and Rascoe (Calgary) selected in Round 1.

Rutgers produced two picks in the opening two rounds. Edmonton took linebacker Dariel Djabome third overall, and BC selected defensive back Jett Elad at No. 15.

U SPORTS programs were well-represented throughout the draft. Wilfrid Laurier, Calgary, Windsor, Queen’s, McMaster, and Montreal each had multiple players selected.

Players from those schools will report to rookie camps as the 2026 CFL season approaches.
