Stampeders Cut Defensive Backs Titus Wall, Brad Muhammad

The Stampeders cuts two 2 year defensive backs to make room for the 2024 roster. Wall and Muhammad were among 22 players cut.

The Calgary Stampeders have cut 22 players ahead of the deadline to submit their final roster for 2024.

Two players cut came as something of a surprise for Stamps fans as linebacker Titus Wall and defensive back Brad Muhammad were both released.

Wall spent two seasons with Calgary, starting 21 games in his time. The 25 year old has 93 tackles in his short career with 3 sacks and 3 interceptions. Standing 6 feet flat weighing in 200 pounds, Wall has proven himself as a strong linebacker.

The Stampeders resigned Wall in January after a respectable couple years. Considering his age and capability it’s likely only a matter of time until Wall is scooped up by a CFL team.

The 28-year-old defensive back has played 3 seasons in the CFL, coming to Calgary after starting his career in Ottawa. Muhammad has been with the team just as many years, starting 27 games. He has 84 career tackles, 50 of which were in 2022 when he started 16 games for the Stamps. Muhammad has 3 career interceptions.

Watching from home week in and week out or spending an evening losing my voice at a game, I have always loved this league. This year I'll be covering the Calgary Stampeders and the Toronto Argonauts, two promising teams, each with a chip on their shoulder coming into 2024.
