CFL: Blue Bombers Unveil 2021 Regular Season Schedule, Breakdown

Football fans around the city of Winnipeg and province of Manitoba rejoice today as the 2021 Blue Bombers Schedule was released. The defending Grey Cup Champs look to get back to business after the long layoff. Coach Mike O’Shea will lead the Bombers into the 2021 season to repeat the 2019 magic. The Blue Bombers finished 3rd in the West in 2019 with a 11-7 record but ultimately winning three playoff games on the road to capture their first Grey Cup win in 29 years.

The Blue and Gold will start their quest for a back-to-back championship run against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in a 2019 Grey Cup rematch on Aug. 5th at IG Field. Although they see the eastern teams a combined five times, they fail to have a matchup against the Ottawa Redblacks. The Paul LaPolice and Matt Nichols return-game will have to wait until at least the 2022 season.

As for the rest of the eastern teams, the Blue Bombers will see the Toronto Argonauts and Montreal Alouettes twice each. The Blue Bombers will face their Western division opponents the other nine games including the usual two against the Saskatchewan Roughriders at the beginning of September. The only team Winnipeg will face three times this season is the newly rebranded Edmonton Elks.
