The Cincinnati Bengals have drafted Canadian tight end Tanner McLachlan 194th in the 6th round. He played for Arizona over the last 2 seasons after beginning his career with Southern Utah. McLachlan was the third highest-ranked prospect by CFL Central Scouting eligible for the CFL Draft in their final rankings.

McLachlan played in 25 games over the last 2 seasons for Arizona with 18 starts. He compiled 79 receptions for 984 yards and 6 touchdowns. He was an All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention in 2023 as well as being selected Second Team All-Pac-12 by the Associated Press. In 2023 he had 45 receptions which was the second most by a tight end in the program’s history.

Prior to attending Arizona, he played in 11 games with 2 starts for Southern Utah where he caught 15 passes for 168 yards and 2 touchdowns. He missed the 2021 season due to injury before transferring to Arizona for the following season.
