Due to the uncertainty and then shortened 2021 CFL season. It was unclear if DraftKings would once again host CFL games. We can now confirm CFL DFS (Daily Fantasy) will be back for the 2021 season, with an official announcement coming soon.
A spoke person for DK told us.
“We will be having CFL daily fantasy available to you.
CFL week 1 begins on August 5th. Within the next few weeks, these contests will be live.”
This is great news for Football and DFS fans. These are great ways to engage fans with games like Daily Fantasy or Fantasy Football Leagues. Still no word on if TSN will be running CFL Fantasy Football leagues in 2021. We still get this error message when we click on the link.
CFL DFS Roster And Salary Cap
CFL DFS contests feature a $50,000 salary cap that DFS players are familiar with from NFL football contests. Managers must assemble a roster of players whose salaries do not exceed that amount in order to be valid.
DK rosters have seven spots:
- 1 Quarterback
- 1 Running Back
- 2 Wide Receivers
- 2 Flex Spots
- 1 Team Defense
The flex spot can be filled with any non-quarterback skill player, like running back, wide receiver, or slotback.
DraftKings CFL scoring
CFL contests scoring is similar to the NFL scoring. Bonuses for 300-yard passing games and 100-yard rushing or receiving performances are the same for CFL contests.
