Edmonton Elks Re-Sign DB Loucheiz Purifoy on a One-Year Deal

With the Edmonton Elks being busy in the last two weeks with various roster moves and re-signing current roster players, the Elks continued to sign internally in the form of DB Loucheiz Purifoy on a one-year deal.

After stops with the Indianapolis Colts (2014), and the Seattle Seahawks (2014), he would come north of the 49th parallel signing with the BC Lions (2016-2017), Ottawa REDBLACKS (2018), Saskatchewan Roughriders (2018-2021), BC Lions (2022), and the Edmonton Elks since 2023.

Since breaking into the CFL, he has become one of the most versatile players on a defense where he has had his fair share of filling in on a depth chart as both a linebacker and a defensive back.

With the 2023 CFL season being his first wearing the Green and Gold, Loucheiz Purifoy had an outstanding season in Edmonton with 49 tackles, and 3 interceptions, with two of those transitioned into touchdowns. To his credit, his lifetime CFL statistics are spectacular with 116 games played, 331 defensive tackles, 8 sacks, 19 interceptions, and 2 touchdowns.
