DL Miles Fox Reach Agreement with the Tiger-Cats

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have established themselves as the gold standard in the Western Conference in the CFL since 2019. There is an old saying that “Impersonation is the Highest Form of Flattery,” and this off-season, the Bombers should feel very good as the Hamilton Tiger-Cats do their best to impersonate Winnipeg. Tiger-Cats GM Ted Goveia has spent this week investing in the Tiger-Cat’s future by acquiring talent from his past front-office job in Winnipeg.

Earlier this week, the Tiger-Cats reached agreements to acquire Winnipeg’s pending free agents defensive lineman TyJuan Garbutt and wide receiver Kenny Lawler. According to a report by 3 Down Nation, Hamilton has also reached an agreement to add Winnipeg defensive tackle Miles Fox. Agreements made with free agents this week are not official until the start of free agency on February 11th.

Miles Fox is a 6’1″, 300-pound defensive tackle from Lawrenceville, Georgia. He played in five games for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the 2023 and 2024 CFL seasons. During the 2023 season, Fox recorded three tackles, and in 2024, he registered three additional tackles. Prior to being signed by the Blue Bombers, Fox started his CFL career with the BC Lions in 2022. During the 2022 season, Fox played in two games and recorded three defensive tackles and one quarterback sack for the Lions.

Fox finished his college football career at Wake Forest University during the 2020 and 2021 seasons. While playing for the Demon Deacons, Fox played in 21 games and recorded 58 tackles, 17.5 tackles for loss, 6.5 quarterback sacks, one pass deflection, and a fumble recovery.

Fox also played at Old Dominion University from 2015 until 2018, playing in 40 games. During his career there, Fox had 52 solo tackles, 64 assisted tackles, and eight quarterback sacks.
