The Tiger-Cats continue to sign players to add depth to their roster before the start of training. According to the CFL Transactions list, the Tiger-Cats have signed American wide receivers TJ Vasher and Dev Hamilton, American defensive lineman Marje Smith, and American defensive back Mark Milton a day after re-signing veteran defensive back Lawrence Woods III. Hamilton has also secured several of their draft picks from the 2024 CFL Draft, including 1st round offensive lineman Nathaniel Dumoulin-Duguay.
Wide receiver TJ Vasher, a new addition to the Tiger-Cats, brings with him an impressive track record. During his time with the Brahmas, he played in nine games, catching 16 passes for 173 yards and scoring two touchdowns. His college football career at Texas Tech from 2016 to 2020 was equally impressive, with 41 games, 146 passes, 1,983 yards, and 21 touchdowns to his name.

Hamilton started his college football career at the University of Albany before being dismissed from the Great Danes program after the 2018 season. He was also invited to the Jets Rookie Mini-Camp in April 2024.
American defensive lineman Marje Smith comes to Hamilton after playing for NCAA FCS Stephen F. Austin from 2019 until 2023. While playing at Stephen F. Austin, he played in 38 games and recorded 52 total tackles, 14 tackles for loss, 11 quarterback sacks, two pass deflections, a forced fumble, a recovered fumble, and one pass intercept.
Defensive back Mark Milton comes to Hamilton after spending time with the Carolina Panthers in 2023. Milton played college football at Baylor University from 2018 until 2022. While playing for the Bears, Milton appeared in 51 games, registered 97 total tackles, and intercepted one pass.
Tiger-Cats Activate Several 2024 CFL Draft Picks

This forward-thinking approach is evident in their recent additions: 1st-round pick offensive lineman Nathaniel Dumoulin-Duguay from Laval, 4th-round pick defensive back Daniel Bell from Mount Allison, 5th-round pick linebacker Ryan Baker from the University of British Columbia, 6th-round pick defensive back Jonathan Giustini from Alberta, 7th round pick offensive lineman John Kourtis from Saskatchewan, and 8th round pick linebacker Mitchell Townsend, also from the University of British Columbia. These moves are sure to strengthen the team’s future prospects.
