Montreal Alouettes Sign Former Green Bay Packers Defensive Back Kabion Ento

The Alouettes have announced that they have signed defensive back Kabion Ento. Ento is an American defensive back from Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Montreal’s decision to add Ento helps build the depth of their defensive back position.

Let’s look at the path that Ento has taken on his way to signing with the Alouettes.

Ento started his college football career at East Central Community College in Mississippi. He played wide receiver during his two seasons at East Central. During his sophomore season, he was named first-team NJCAA All-Region 23.

The 6’1″, 187-pound Ento finished his college career playing wide receiver at the University of Colorado. During his junior year, he played in 13 games, producing eight catches for 174 yards and two touchdowns. Ento red-shirted in 2017 and played his final season at Colorado in 2018. In 2018, he accumulated 12 catches for 161 yards and had five special teams tackles.

In 2019, the Green Bay Packers signed Ento as an undrafted free agent. In 2019, the Packers cut him in the pre-season, and in 2020 he spent the season on injured reserve. During the 2021 pre-season, he produced one interception and two tackles while playing against the Houston Texans. That performance led to Pro Football Focus grading his performance with an 82.4 score, the highest on the team.
