ORONTO (August 30, 2022) – Jamal Peters, Kian Schaffer-Baker and Malik Henry are the Canadian Football League (CFL)’s Top Performers for Week 12 of the 2022 season.

The three players were chosen by a panel of judges made up of Matt Dunigan and Marshall Ferguson of TSN, and Pierre Vercheval of RDS, who independently send their selections to the CFL league office.

DB | JAMAL PETERS | TORONTO ARGONAUTS | TOR 37 – HAM 20

• Recorded a career-high three interceptions and his first career pick-six
• Three interceptions accumulated 84 return yards including a 67-yard touchdown return
• Added four tackles including one tackle for a one-yard loss
• This season the second-year player has registered 38 tackles, tied for a league-lead with four interceptions and a sack
• Highlights:
  • Peters intercepts Evans in the opening frame
  • Interception leads to Argos touchdown
  • Peters snags his third interception of the game and returns it to the house

WR | KIAN SCHAFFER-BAKER | SASKATCHEWAN ROUGHRIDERS | SSK 23 – BC 16

• Set a new personal best with 170 receiving yards on five catches
• Registered a touchdown reception, two 30+ yard receptions and three second down conversion receptions
• Averaged 34.0 yards per catch
• Notched his second-career 100+ yard receiving game
• Leads team with 614 receiving yards, 44 receptions and is tied for first with four touchdown receptions.
• Highlights:
  • KSB wins tip drill over BC defender
  • Fajardo finds KSB for 85-yard touchdown

WR | MALIK HENRY | CALGARY STAMPEDERS | WPG 31 – CGY 29

• Set a new career-highs with seven receptions and three touchdown catches
• Recorded 122 receiving yards – his third game with 100+ yards
• It marked his first multiple touchdown game in his 17 career games
• Averaged 17.4 yards per reception
• This season he leads the Stampeders with 637 receiving yards and six touchdown receptions.
• Highlights:
  • Maier connects with Henry for 61-yard major
  • Henry ties the game late in the first half
  • Hat-trick touchdown for Henry
