TORONTO (July 19, 2022) – Greg Ellingson, Kenny Lawler and Dane Evans are the Canadian Football League (CFL)’s Top Performers for Week 6 of the 2022 season.

The three players were chosen by a panel of judges made up of Matt Dunigan and Marshall Ferguson of TSN, and Pierre Vercheval of RDS, who independently send their selections to the CFL league office.

WR | GREG ELLINGSON | WINNIPEG BLUE BOMBERS | WPG 26 – CGY 19

• Eleven catches for 152 yards – both season highs
• First 100+ yard game of the season
• Averaged 13.8 yards per reception
• Recorded seven second down conversion receptions
• Leads the league in receiving yards (518) and receptions (34)
• 2022 season: 6 games | 34 catches for 518 yards | 3 touchdowns
• Highlights:
  • Ellingson makes sure to stay in to give the Bombers a first down
  • Collaros and Ellingson connect for a 16 yards gain

WR | KENNY LAWLER | EDMONTON ELKS | EDM 32 – MTL 31

• Seven receptions for 92 yards (13.1 yards per catch)
• Scored the game-tying touchdown with 4:20 left in the game – Elks took the lead on the ensuing convert
• Leads the league in targets (54); second in receptions (33)
• 2022 season: 6 games | 33 catches for 384 yards | 3 touchdowns
• Highlight:
  • Lawler scores a touchdown to give Elks the lead

QB | DANE EVANS | HAMILTON TIGER-CATS | HAM 25 – OTT 23

• 21-of-28 passing (75 per cent) for 345 yards and two touchdowns, 139.3 efficiency rating
• Engineered a five-play, 49-yard drive, culminating in a 3-yard touchdown pass to Tim White to give his team the lead with 19 seconds remaining
• 11^th career 300+ yard passing game
• Three 30+ yard completions
• 2022 season: 120-of-180 passing (66.7 per cent) for 1,423 yards | seven touchdowns
