Roughriders Add Former Buccaneer Offensive Lineman Sadarius Hutcherson

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have inked American offensive lineman Sadarius Hutcherson.

After going unselected in the 2021 NFL draft, the Huntingdon, Tennessee native signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The six-foot-four, 320-pound offensive lineman would spend the entire year on the injured reserve with Tampa Bay before spending time with the USFL’s Memphis Showboats and the UFL’s D.C. Defenders.

Collegiately, Hutcherson played five seasons in the SEC at the University of South Carolina. As a Gamecock, he played 45 games from 2016 to 2020 at both tackle and guard. Also, as a senior, the blocker was named to the All-SEC second team and was invited to the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl.

Hutcherson joins Trevor Reid, Jacob Brammer, and Jonathan Hubbard as rookie American offensive linemen looking to crack a spot on the roster. There are openings along the unit where there will be an open competition between the rookies.
