Toronto Argonauts Retain Sindani for Upcoming Season

The Toronto Argonauts have made a strategic move by extending National wide receiver Richie Sindani’s contract ahead of the February 13 free agency date. This decision ensures that the 28-year-old’s services will remain with the team as they gear up for another potentially competitive season.

Sindani’s Contributions Since Joining the Argos

Richie Sindani became part of the Toronto roster in late 2023 and quickly proved his worth. During the tail end of the season, he participated in three games, securing eight passes which contributed to a total gain of 90 yards for the Argos.

From Draft Pick to Valued Wide Receiver

Standing six-foot-two and weighing 220 pounds, this Regina native not only performed for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the previous season, but also boasts a notable career since his selection in the eighth round of the 2017 CFL Draft by the Calgary Stampeders. During his tenure with the Stampeders, Sindani was part of the squad that clinched the Grey Cup in 2018. Drawing from his strong performance as a University of Calgary alum, he has accumulated 1,166 yards with 112 receptions over the span of 75 career games in the CFL.

Looking Forward with Sindani

The Argonauts’ decision to extend Sindani’s contract emphasizes their commitment to developing a strong, cohesive unit as they look forward to the challenges of the upcoming CFL season. Sindani’s prior experience and consistent performance will be instrumental as the Toronto Argonauts aim to build on their recent accomplishments on the gridiron.
