The second leg in the Hanseatic city!
For the Hamburg Sea Devils it is not about the playoffs on Sunday, August 22, at 3 p.m., but to keep the tension high until the end of the season. The Panthers, against whom they won the first leg with 26:23, are waiting as opponents.
For the Panthers, it is now about nothing less than a popular playoff spot. Similar excitement is expected at Sunday’s game at Stadion Hoheluft. Defensive Coordinator Kendrall Ellison, who knows the parts of the Panthers still from his active time from Poland, expresses himself as follows:
“Our players, who were out in previous weeks, are now slowly getting fit again. Now we will see what performance we are capable of. The Panthers are a very good team that plays better than their statistics suggest. Therefore, we expect a strong game from them. We know that we are not playing our best football at the moment. For that, everything has to work for the playoffs at the latest. We have to ask ourselves the question: Are we playing better than the previous week?”

Newcomer Dutch defensive back Jeffrey Juurlink will make his first game for the Sea Devils. Kasim Edebali and Jan-Phillip Bombek continue to be out. Also absent due to injury are offensive linemen Timo Winter and Friedemann Peters.
There are still a few tickets available for the game at Ticketmaster. In addition, there will again be a public viewing at the Hamburger Ding, where this time there will even be a signed t-shirt to win. Registration runs via hamburgerding.de
