Blue Bombers Quest for Consecutive Grey Cup No. 3 in Motion

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers are just six weeks away from the end of the first training camp of the 2022 season, and things are already looking up for the back-to-back- Grey Cup Champions.

The Blue Bombers scouts are at various pro days trying to unearth prospects that could be in Winnipeg first for the rookie and then main training camp beginning May 11th. The CFL released their preseason power rankings, and DraftKings released the 2022 Grey Cup Championship betting odds. Both are in favor of the men in Blue and Gold.

Blue Bombers caught up with scout Danny MacManus who is from the United States(U.S).

He started the conversation off by saying, “I’m just driving again, this is our Florida swing for Pro Days at all the universities. We have eight this week. There are a couple of double days where we’re at two Pro Days. Today is a single day, which is nice.

In addition to McManus traveling to U.S Universities, the Blue Bombers will be hosting four free-agent workouts along the Eastern part of the U.S. The first workout will be on April 16 in Tampa Bay, FL, followed by a visit to Fort Worth TX, on April 23, then a couple of hours down Interstate 45 to Houston TX on April 24, and finally ending the Blue Bombers’ free-agents workout on April 30 in Atlanta, GA.

“It’s great for us to be back on the trail again doing these workouts because we’ve had some good success with them,” said Blue Bombers scout Danny McManus.

The CFL’s first preseason rankings were released last week and the Blue Bombers were on top with the Hamilton Tiger-cats trailing them.

Draft kings released their betting on each team winning the 109th Grey Cup Championship and the Blue Bombers had a 200 point lead over the next team(Roughriders).
