CFL Player Discipline โ€“ Week 7, Elks QB Fined for Code of Conduct Violation, AGAIN

ย The Canadian Football League (CFL) has announced:

  • Edmonton quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson has been fined for a second violation of the CFL Code of Conduct by bringing the league into disrepute via comments made to the media.
  • Edmonton defensive back Loucheiz Purifoy has been fined for delivering a high hit on Ottawa wide receiver Bralon Addison.
  • Winnipeg linebacker Adam Bighill has been fined for unnecessary roughness for driving Saskatchewan quarterback Shea Patterson into the ground.

As per league policy, the amounts of the fines were not disclosed.

    Bethel Thompson does not appear happy in Edmonton, and he sure is not happy with the schedule. The Elks should make a strong pitch to Nathan Rourke or Johnny Manziel and shake things up. Maybe then theyโ€™ll win a game or two.

    Would you give it up on Johnny Manziel! The guys hasnโ€™t played meaning football in years and has stated MULTIPLE TIMES that he has NO interest in playing again. Please spare us any more of the absolutely ridiculous idea of a CFL team signing Johnny Manziel. By his own admission, heโ€™s DONE, so stop bringing him up.
