“Kyran Moore brings the coveted versatility and playmaking ability to our offence and return game,” said Geroy Simon, Elks assistant general manager. “When he’s got the ball in his hands, he’s dangerous from anywhere on the field.”

The Bessemer, Alabama native played his college football at Austin Peay State University for the Austin Peay Governors (2014-2017). During his stay at Austin Peay, he would dress for 34 games over a four-year period. He would complete his football life at Austin Peay with a total of 38 receptions, for 553 yards, along with 3 touchdowns. He would also display his athletic ability further by contributing with 34 carries and 184 rushing yards, along with 2 touchdowns. He would be selected by the Saskatchewan Roughriders as an undrafted free agent in 2018. On June 18th, 2018, Kyran Moore would be placed on the active practice roster. On August 24th, 2018, he would be promoted to the active roster in which he would start his first pro game a day later.

During his young CFL career thus far, Kyran Moore has become a clutch playmaker that will only benefit the growth of the Edmonton Elks moving forward. During his 5-year career in the CFL (minus the 2020 cancelled season) with 46 games played, 220 receptions, 2351 receiving yards with 1040 being yards after the catch, and 10 touchdowns.

And it does not stop there. He is a player that will help out on special teams. In punt returns, he has a total of 59 punt returns, for 677 yards, and 2 touchdowns.

The signing of Kyran Moore adds a lot of value to the City of Champions. The Elks get a player that adds multiple and dynamic values to the club for the 2023 season.

It was a sad day when the Elks lost Christian Saulsberry due to a senseless act of gun violence back at his home in Memphis, Tennessee on December 17th, 2022. One could only imagine when his football career ended as it was just the beginning. A tandem of both Christian Saulsberry and Kyran Moore would have been something special to see in 2023.
