Former Richmond QB Joe Mancuso Joins the Blue Bombers

WINNIPEG, MB. – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have announced that the club has signed American player Joe Mancuso.

Mancuso is a six-foot-four 215lb dual-threat quarterback out of Richmond University. With the Spiders, Mancuso completed 60% of his passes for a total of 5,969 passing yards and 40 touchdowns. When it came to rushing he racked up 1,500 and 19 touchdowns during his five-year tenure.

Mancuso’s smart decision-making and electric play led him to finish fifth all-time in Richmond career history with 7,046 yards of total offense, fifth all-time in Richmond history (5,508 passing yards), seventh all-time in Richmond history(429 pass completions), fifth all-time in Richmond history (39 passing touchdowns) and becoming the first quarterback in school history to throw for 5,500 yards and rush for another 1,500. 

After the completion of his career, Mancuso entered his name in the 2021 NFL draft. He would go on to join the Indianapolis colts before coming to Winnipeg.

Mancuso will now join the Blue Bombers stellar quarterback core of Zach Callaros, Dakota Prukop, Dru Brown, and Jake floriea.
