Hamilton Tiger-Cats Roster And Injury Updates, Dane Evans Returns

On Tuesday, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats made some notable moves, the biggest of which involved quarterback Dane Evans. Evans, who has not played since week 6, was activated off the six-game injured list. He sustained the injury in a game versus the Toronto Argonauts, and although he is now cleared to return, he won’t be on the field immediately. Head coach Orlondo Steinauer said that Jeremiah Masoli, who has played fairly well despite the team’s recent losses, will keep the starting job for now.

In other news, veteran wideout Brandon Banks was a full participant at practice. Banks has been dealing with a lingering injury for most of the season, and as a result, has seen a severe drop in production compared to his stellar 2019 campaign.

Finally, Hamilton added American defensive back Adonis Davis to the practice roster. The Abilene Christian standout attended Tiger-Cats training camp in July, and is now returning after completing quarantine. In a corresponding move, American linebacker Corey Thompson was released, a former LSU Tiger and Buffalo Bill who signed with the team last offseason.
