Winnipeg Blue Bombers Sign Ex-NFLer Cam Meredith

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers announced Thursday morning the signing of American receiver, Cam Meredith. This signing adds more American depth to the Blue Bombers receiving core. Meredith will most likely lineup behind Darvin Adams going into personal trainer for seniors camp as Nic Demski and Drew Wolitarskty will likely retained their spots because they are Canadian players.

Meredith attended the college of Illinois State where he first was a quarterback. In 2013, he transitioned into wide receiver. In his final year at Illinois State, he had 66 receptions for over 1,000 yards. Meredith signed with the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent. He played 3 seasons in the NFL where he made 86 receptions for 1,122 yards and had 5 touchdowns. After 2 seasons with the Bears he play 1 season with the New Orleans Saints. In 2019, he signed with the New England Patriots but was later let go by the club.
