The Edmonton Elks added a total of nine players to their respective roster via the 2026 CFL Draft. Yesterday, during the CFL Global Draft, the Elks added two others, with a total of eleven draft picks for the 2026 CFL season.
Here are your 2026 Edmonton Elks Draftees:
1st Round, 3rd Overall: Dariel Djabome, Linebacker
Dariel Djabome had a stellar career suiting up for the Rutgers Scarlett Knights. As a four-year starter, Dariel racked up 192 tackles, 13 tackles for losses, 5.5 sacks, and 4 forced fumbles.
As a 2025 team captain, he is also a three-time recipient of the Academic All-Big Ten.
Dariel Djabome has currently accepted an invitation to attend the Washington Commanders mini-camp.
“We feel like he can come in, he can impact, he can play teams, and has an opportunity to start,” Hervey said. “He’s a four-year starter at Rutgers. We felt it was a very safe pick for us there, with upside.”
2nd Round, 12th Overall: Benjamin Sangmuah, Defensive Back/Linebacker
The Scarborough native played 41 games for the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds during his 4-year stint on the West Coast.
Benjamin made the most of his opportunities at UBC, flourishing as a football player with 162 tackles, 7.5 tackles for a loss, 5 interceptions, and 29 passes defended. At his UBC pro day, the speedy defender was clocked at 4.44 in the 40-yard dash.
Benjamin Sangmuah has accepted an NFL mini-camp invite via the Indianapolis Colts during the conclusion of the 2026 NFL Draft.
“Another high character player,” Hervey said. “His upside is tremendous. We finally have an opportunity to find a home at a position, and then he plays our brand of football. We want to be a football team that continues to draft physical players.”
2nd Round, 19th Overall: Wesley Bailey, Defensive Lineman
The 6’-5”, 265-pounder will give the Elks more depth at the defensive line.
Bailey originally began his college football career with Rutgers University from 2021 to 2024. During that span, he recorded 71 total tackles, 15 tackles for a loss, 9.5 sacks, and 6 passes defended.
Last season, Bailey would suit up for the Louisville Cardinals, recording 39 total tackles, 7 tackles for a loss, and 6 sacks in a 12-game span. He recently signed with the Los Angeles Rams as an undrafted free agent.
“Whether we see him in a year, or two, or three years, it’s just one of those selections that we felt very good about,” Hervey said. “We felt the opportunity for us to continue to have an eye on the future and build this team the right way with the national talent; he was a risk worth taking.”
3rd Round, 21st Overall: Carter Kettyle, Wide Receiver
The beautiful thing for Carter Kettyle is that he does not have to travel far to attend the Edmonton Elks training camp, as it will be a moderate distance from the University of Alberta campus.
The highly athletic receiver made the most of his playing time with 101 receptions, 1,695 receiving yards, and 17 touchdowns with the Golden Bears from 2022 to 2025.
“Carter is a very good athlete, he’s highly skilled,” Hervey said. “Obviously, we know a lot about him.”
“He’s another high character guy. But we also feel he’s one of the receivers who was most ready to play and contribute.”
4th Round, 32nd Overall: Spencer Walsh, Offensive Lineman
The 6’-3”, 294lbs played 4 seasons for the University of Laurier Golden Hawks. He experienced a lot of accolades as a 2025 OUA Second Team All-Star, 2024 Uteck Bowl Champion, and a 2024 Yates Cup Champion.
4th Round, 35th Overall: Justin Pace, Linebacker
Justin played a total of 41 games over 4 years for Queen’s University. Justin’s impact on the Golden Gaels was as great as it can be, recording a whopping 232 total tackles, 13 tackles for a loss, 4 sacks, 6 interceptions, 8 passes defended, and 3 forced fumbles.
6th Round, 50th Overall: Chris Pashula, Offensive Lineman
Chris Pashula adds some size and depth for the Elks. He spent his four years at the University of Calgary anchoring the Dinosaurs’ offensive line. He played 30 total games, predominantly at left guard.
7th Round, 58th Overall: Eloa Latendresse-Regimbald, Quarterback/Wide Receiver
Anytime you can acquire a multi-positional player, it is a bonus. This is the case with Eloa Latendresse-Regimbald.
He will need more work in developing his craft in the passing game, as he completed 48% of his passes last season, going 98 for 206 for 1,590 yards, and 9 touchdown passes. He was incredible with his dual-threat talent, as he rushed 61 times for 773 yards and 6 touchdowns.
“We know that’s a long-term project as far as a position change, but we also believe that he has some skills that he can play wide receiver, and do some things for us short yardage,” Hervey said of the selection.
7th Round, 59th Overall: Matthew Ljuden, Offensive Lineman
He is another product of the University of Alberta. Matthew Ljuden will be a work in progress, as he only played 21 games for the Golden Bears in 2022, 2023, and 2024.
Global Draft
1st Round, 3rd Overall: Jesus Gomez, Kicker, Arizona State, Mexico
Jesus Gomez played his college football at Arizona State. He also majored in mechanical engineering. Before playing for the Sun Devils, Jesus originally played for Eastern Michigan.
Jesus has a long kicking game to add to his resume as he booted a 54-yard field goal vs. Duke in the Sun Bowl. However, he will need to work on his accuracy as he went 22 out of 30 for a 73.3% success rate.
2nd Round, 6th Overall: Jeffrey M’Ba, Defensive Lineman, SMU, France
Jeffrey M’Ba previously played for Purdue and Auburn before attending Southern Methodist University.
At Auburn, Jeffrey M’Ba appeared in 10 games. He made 2 tackles vs. Mercer, along with adding an 11-yard sack and a forced fumble vs. Mississippi State.
At Purdue, Jeffrey played in all 12 games and registered 30 tackles in 2024.
With SMU in 2025, Jeffrey M’Ba started in 12 games, recorded 42 total tackles, and 5 sacks. He also posted 4 games with at least 5 tackles.
And there you have it, Edmonton fans. This is your 2026 Draft Class.
