BC Lions extend all-star WR Bryan Burnham’s contract.

After seven seasons with the Lions, WR Bryan Burnham will be back for an eighth consecutive season.

The CFL has named Burnham an All-Star every season for the past four years. Last season he tallied 965 receiving yards on 67 receptions and 5 touchdowns.

“I’m excited and grateful for the opportunity to stay with the only organization I’ve ever known,” said Burnham. “This is the best situation for my wife Aubrey and I to continue to be involved in the community. We also still have unfinished business in BC with the goal to bring the Grey Cup back to the West Coast.”

Over his career with the Lions, Burnham has 6,616 yards on 435 receptions and 38 touchdowns, regularly leading the receiving core.

“Bryan epitomizes the type of players and people we want in our locker room,” Lion’s Coach Rick Campbell said. “Beyond the ability to make great plays on the field, his work ethic and ability to lead by example in practices and games puts us in a position to be successful.”

The new one-year deal could reach up to $185,000 with incentives.

“I’m excited and grateful for the opportunity to stay with the only organization I’ve ever known,” said Burnham in a press release.
