
The BC Lions announced the signing of 4 American defensive backs, including Adonis Alexander, who was a sixth-round supplemental draft pick by the Washington Commanders in 2018 and was most recently with the Michigan Panthers. The Lions have also signed DB Joe Foucha, DB Bruce Harmon, and DB Alex Teubner.
DB Adonis Alexander – Virginia Tech (6’3, 205 lbs)╥
Alexander played in the UFL this past spring with the Michigan Panthers. He recorded 17 solo tackles and 4 assisted tackles over 9 games with 8 starts in the regular season and added 3 tackles in the UFL Championship. For how I tracked coverage data over the UFL season, he had 28 targets come his way, resulting in 20 receptions for 287 yards with 1 touchdown and 1 pass defended, an impressively low 28.7 yards per game.
Alexander joined Michigan through the UFL Dispersal Draft after playing for the New Orleans Breakers in 2022 and 2023. Over his 4 seasons in the USFL and UFL, he recorded 60 solo tackles, 23 assisted tackles, and 3 interceptions.
Alexander was selected in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Supplemental Draft by the Washington Commanders. He played in 9 games for the Commanders in 2018, recording 4 solo tackles, and spent time with the team on the practice squad in 2019. He also had stints on practice rosters with the Rams and 49ers.
Alexander played his collegiate ball at Virginia Tech from 2015-2017, where he recorded 90 solo tackles, 34 assisted tackles, 7 interceptions, and a sack over 33 games.
DB Joe Foucha – LSU (5’9, 198 lbs)
The Lions recently signed the Indoor Football League’s Special Teams Player of the Year, Antonio Wimbush Jr. Now they have added the IFL’s Defensive Player of the Year.
Joe Foucha played in 13 games this past season for the Bay Area Panthers, recording 37 solo tackles, 17 assisted tackles, a tackle for a loss, 7 interceptions, 21 passes defended, and a touchdown. He played in 3 games for the Panthers in 2024, recording 14 total tackles and an interception with 7 passes defended.
He attended minicamps with the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills as an undrafted free agent.
Foucha played for Arkansas from 2018-2021 before transferring to LSU for 2022, appearing in 54 total games with 273 total tackles (127 solo), 16 passes defended, five interceptions, 3 forced fumbles, and 2.5 sacks.
DB Bruce Harmon – Stephen F. Austin (6’0, 202 lbs)
Harmon signed with the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent in 2025, where he played in 2 preseason games, recording 3 total tackles before being placed on injured reserve and later waived.
He played in 56 games with Stephen F. Austin, appearing in 56 games over his career with 107 tackles (74 solo), 9 interceptions, 37 pass breakups, and one fumble recovery.
DB Alex Teubner – Boise State (6’1, 200 lbs)
Teubner attended a rookie minicamp with the Baltimore Ravens in 2025 as an undrafted free agent. He played for Boise State from 2020 through 2024, appearing in 53 games with 26 starts, recording 198 total tackles (120 solo), 2 interceptions, and 2 sacks. He was an All-Mountain West Honorable Mention in 2023 and 2024. He was named Mountain West Championship Defensive MVP in 2023.
