BC Lions Sign Texas Alumn WR Sils Bolden, WSU Alumn LB Parker McKenna

The BC Lions announced on Wednesday the signing of American wide receiver Silas Bolden and American linebacker Parker McKenna.

The Lions also announced the release of Canadian DL Anthony Bennett and Canadian OL Tyler Packer.

WR Silas Bolden (5’8, 160 lbs)

Silas Bolden played for Oregon State from 2020 to 2023, where he played in 37 games with 14 starts and recorded 80 catches for 1,076 yards and 9 touchdowns, and rushed 21 times for 202 yards and 5 touchdowns. He also returned 40 kickoffs with the program for 1,008 yards (25.2 average). He returned 4 punts in 2023 and had a punt return touchdown.

He played his final collegiate season with Texas in 2024, where he played in 16 games, catching 23 passes for 267 yards and a touchdown. He also returned 30 punts, averaging 10.5 yards per return, including a touchdown return in the College Football Playoff Semi-final.

Bolden signed as an undrafted free agent with the Minnesota Vikings in 2025, where he dressed in 3 preseason games, catching a pass for 3 yards, returning 3 kickoffs for 76 yards, and 1 punt return for 8 yards. He was released in the final cuts and later spent time with Houston’s practice squad in September.

Bolden was in the UFL through training camp in March with the Dallas Renegades until being released in final cuts.

LB Parker McKenna (6’0, 220 lbs)

Parker McKenna played for Portland State from 2020 to 2023, where he played in 26 games. He recorded 109 solo tackles, 81 assisted tackles, 15 tackles for loss, 2 sacks, an interception, 5 passes defended, 2 forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery.

McKenna played for Washington State in 2024 and 2025, where he recorded 74 solo tackles, 48 assisted tackles, 6 tackles for loss, 3 sacks, an interception, 3 passes defended, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery.
