Monday, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers announced a series of rosters moves that included the release of American and former NFL WR Cam Meredith.
Meredith played professionally for the Chicago Bears, New Orleans Saints, and the New England Patriots before signing with Winnipeg this offseason, and eventually being named to their practice squad.
Meredith signed with the Bears as an undrafted free agent out of Illinois State in 2015, and was with Chicago until 2017.
The move coincided with the signing of American LB Kevin Brown to their practice squad.
Brown, who played collegiately with the Universiry of Cincinnati, spent 3 seasons with the Ottawa Redblacks where he amassed 149 total tackles (including special teams), 3 sacks, 2 INTs and a forced fumble.
He had been in camp with the Elks, but was released prior to final roster decisions.
