Calgary Stampeders Sign NFL Rookie Mini-Camp Participant, Utah State QB Logan Bonner

The Calgary Stampeders announced on Monday the signing of American quarterback Logan Bonner, who recently attended the rookie mini-camp with the National Football League’s Indianapolis Colts. Measuring six-foot-one and weighing 230 pounds, Bonner showcased his skills in the NFL before transitioning to the Canadian Football League (CFL).

Before his NFL stint, Bonner played 18 games over two seasons at Utah State, completing 325 of 539 passes for 4,381 yards, 42 touchdowns, and 20 interceptions. In 2021, he set several single-season records for the Aggies, including 3,628 passing yards and 36 touchdowns.

Bonner’s outstanding performance in the 2021 Mountain West Conference championship game earned him the title of Most Valuable Offensive Player, where he threw 29 successful passes out of 42 attempts, amassing 318 yards in a victory against San Diego State.

Prior to joining Utah State, the Rowlett, Texas native played 24 games over four seasons at Arkansas State. During his time with the Red Wolves, Bonner completed 271 of 469 passes, with 30 touchdown passes and nine interceptions. His performance in 2020, which included 1,863 passing yards and 18 touchdowns, earned him a spot on the third-team all-Sun Belt Conference.

As Logan Bonner embarks on his 2023 season with the Calgary Stampeders, the team and fans eagerly anticipate the impact of his impressive college and NFL background on the field.
