Edmonton Elks Obtain Linebacker and Special Teams Player Kevin Francis

The Edmonton Elks signed Linebacker and Special Teams player Kevin Francis to their roster.

The 28-year Toronto, Ontario-born player will add to the Canadian Ratio for the Edmonton Elks in 2023.

Kevin Francis played college football as a Tight End for the North Carolina A&M Aggies.

After being bypassed during the 2016 NFL Draft, Kevin Francis declared himself eligible for the CFL Draft. He was selected by the Saskatchewan Roughriders in which he would switch on the defensive side of the ball. He would remain a Roughrider till the end of the 2018 season.

In 2019, Kevin Francis would head east to represent the Ottawa REDBLACKS in the Nation’s Capital.

In 2020, he would sign with the BC Lions which would be a cancelled season due to COVID-19.

Kevin Francis would remain in the Western Division with stops back for the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2021, followed by re-joining the BC Lions in 2022.

During his career thus far, Kevin Francis has made a name for himself primarily on Special Teams. In 6 seasons played, Kevin Francis has a total of 82 games played, 18 defensive tackles, 61 special teams tackles, and 2 forced fumbles.
