As reported recently by newly acquired Edmonton Elks linebacker and special teams player Kevin Francis via Twitter, it appears that his experience as a member of the Edmonton Elks is off to a rocky start.

He was obtained by the Edmonton Elks on February, 14th, 2023 during the first day of the 2023 Free Agency period. And just a little over a month as part of the Green and Gold, Kevin Francis released the following statement:

Over a month now, I’ve been ignored about my money. I officially asked for a release or to be traded from the Edmonton Elks Organization due to the lack of communication and “how we do business “..got ignored about that too .#CFL

However, it appears that at the moment, as reported by radio producer, sports anchor, and Edmonton Elks colour analyst of 630 CHED Edmonton radio Dave Campbell via Twitter, the Edmonton Elks are addressing the issue until the matter is resolved.

“The Club is actively working with Kevin to address his concerns. Until the matter is resolved, we will have no further comment.”

For Edmonton fans, one could only hope that the alleged claim is resolved sooner rather than later and focus on the 2023 CFL Draft.
