The Montreal Alouettes announced on Wednesday that offensive line coach Luc Brodeur-Jourdain is retiring from football, closing the final chapter of what was a 17-year run with the organization as both a player and coach.
Luc Brodeur-Jourdain played in 11 seasons for the Alouettes primarily at centre prior to beginning his coaching career. He played in 168 regular-season games, won a Grey Cup in 2009 and 2010, was a CFL All-Star in 2012, and an East All-Star in 2012 and 2014. Prior to his pro career, he won 3 Vanier Cups with Laval.
He played his final snap with Montreal in July 2019 and became an assistant offensive line coach with Montreal after hanging up his cleats. He was promoted to the Offensive Line Coach in 2020, which he held through 2025.
“On behalf of the Montreal Alouettes, I thank Luc for everything he has done on the field and in the community,” stated Alouettes’ General Manager Danny Maciocia. “He always demonstrated an engaging personality, and we will miss his leadership, his good humor, and his love of football.”
