CFL Week 17 Preview – Bombers Host TigerCats

After an improbable and unsustainable winning style against Ottawa last week, the Bombers will host Hamilton and it looks like Collaros is good to start. We wondered if the Bombers could do it again…but it appears like their star quarterback, Zach Collaros will be in the game. So at least for now, we will not have to answer that question.

At 9-5, Hamilton sit on top of the Eastern Division. The Bombers must keep winning games if they hope to make the playoffs through the West Division. It does not look like the Bombers are going to get much help from Calgary. Although Adams left the Calgary game last week, he is listed as their starting quarterback this week. So it looks like the Bombers are going to have to do it on their own merit if they hope to make the playoffs through the West.

Another option for the Bombers is that they could be in play for the cross-over. Yet, I would say it is too early to be looking at that option. And second place in the West is still in play…though Winnipeg would need to win one more game than Calgary, as Calgary holds that season series – which is the first tie-breaker.

While Bomber fans will be excited about the return of Collaros, they will certainly miss Wheatfall! He has been a consistent receiver in this Bombers offence but exited the last game taking a thunderous clean hit.

Keys To A Bombers Win
There is only one key…though it has 3 parts. The one key for the Bombers is not to stop the Tiger-Cats offence! I believe the Bombers’ defense has shown their ability to do enough to win. Rather, the key for the Bombers is their offence. It is time for them to make a statement game. The time for excuses is over…regardless of them not having Wheatfall!!

1) Protect the Ball
The Bombers simply cannot afford to give up the ball on offence. They need to put up points. Collaros must make sure that he throws no interceptions.

2) Returns
The Bombers have an explosive returner in Vaval. But he has also shown some issues this season with ball security. Vaval must feild the ball cleanly.

3) Keep Zach Collaros Clean
This is not only a key to this game…but a key to the season and post-season. Whatever you think about Collaros…the Bombers are not good enough to consistently win without him.

If the Bombers execute on those 3 keys, they have a good chance of winning. Miss on any of them…and it will be a tough afternoon. What did you think? Let me know in the comments section wherever you are reading this. Catch all my articles here.

None of your wishes will come true ,collaros is nervous in the pocket and exists quickly throwing picks aplenty ,and he will be hit – a lot ,giving way to O’Shea favourite strevler and doom
