Hamilton Tiger-Cats Sign National Wide Receiver Chris Osei-Kusi

The Tiger-Cats have announced that they have signed National wide receiver Chris Osei-Kusi. Osei-Kusi joins the Tiger-Cats organization after spending the 2021 and 2022 seasons with the Edmonton Elks. The 25-year-old receiver is a native of Brampton, Ontario, and entering his third season in the CFL. He has been a successful receiver at the USports level and will add depth to the Tiger-Cats receiving unit.

Osei-Kusi is a 6’2″, 200-pound receiver drafted by the Montreal Alouettes during the 4th round of the 2021 CFL Draft. While the Alouettes drafted Osei-Kusi, his CFL game appearances have been with the Edmonton Elks. In 2022, he played in 17 games for Edmonton and produced six catches for 79 yards. During his two seasons with the Elks, he appeared in 22 games.

While Osei-Kusi has a small sample size of CFL experience, he had a very successful USports career with Queen’s University. In 2016, he played in 8 games, had 40 catches for 547 yards, and produced 13.7 yards/catch; he also showed the ability to run the ball. During the 2017 season, he had 49 catches for 723 yards and scored seven touchdowns. In 2018, he had 34 catches for 563 yards and one touchdown.
