Report: Monreal Alouettes Agree to Sign Canadian DE Isaac Adeyemi-Berglund

Per sources, the Montreal Alouettes have reached an agreement to sign Canadian defensive end Isaac Adeyemi-Berglund. It is expected to be a 2-season contract.

DE Isaac Adeyemi-Berglund – Southeastern Louisiana (27 y/o, 6’2, 248 lbs)

Isaac Adeyemi-Berglund has played for the Calgary Stampeders over the past 3 seasons. He was drafted by them in the first round (third overall) in 2020. Since then he has played in 50 CFL regular season games for the Stamps contributing 53 tackles and 14 sacks. He has had 13 sacks over the last 2 seasons while playing in a rotational role.

Adeyemi-Berglund played for Southeastern Louisiana from 2017 to 2019 playing in 33 games with 24 starts. He contributed 68 solo tackles, 67 assisted tackles, and 15 sacks with the program.

Adeyemi-Berglund may be poised to step into a larger role moving forward. Montreal recently lost their outstanding rookie Canadian defensive end, Lwal Uguak, to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
