PR: Sea Devils Host the Wroclaw Panthers on Sunday in 1st Ever ELF Semifinal Weekend

Press release

Full focus on Sunday! The Hamburg Sea Devils will face the Wrocław Panthers from Poland in the semifinals of the European League of Football on Sunday, September 12, at 2:45 pm in Hoheluft stadium. It is important for the Sea Devils to show the best performance of the season. Especially since the Poles come to Hamburg with momentum. While the Hamburg Sea Devils won the first leg 26-23, the Panthers won the second leg 30-24 in Hamburg three weeks ago.

Head coach Andreas Nommensen is optimistic:

“We have installed another training unit in the last few weeks. That has brought the team together even more. The focus for us in the past units has been on the “we-feeling” and the attitude.  With linebacker Miguel Boock and wide receiver Benjamin Mau, two leaders of the team are back in the team. Most of the team is fit and ready to go. It has been evident throughout the season that our local Hamburg guys as well as the imports have come together to form a strong unit. We can definitely say that this team is ready to go into battle together on Sunday, also because it will certainly not be an easy game.”

Coach Nommensen also added this about the quarterback position:

“Jadrian Clark is our starting quarterback for Sunday. But we also know what we have in Salieu Ceesay.  The two of them continue to help each other out and make a strong unit. Together, we’ve developed a game plan over the past few weeks that we have confidence in.”

Tickets are still available for Sunday through Ticketmaster, so anyone interested in watching top Hanseatic Football is welcome to attend.
