#14 Manitoba Bisons: The Manitoba Bisons have an opportunity to clinch the playoffs and eliminate the Regina Rams from the postseason this weekend. The Bisons are coming off a 43-21 win over the Calgary Dinos at home last weekend. Jackson Tachinski was very efficient for the Bisons completing 15 of his 19 passes for 171 yards and also rushing 13 times for 110 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Regina Rams: The Regina Rams are in a must-win scenario in the playoff race. If they lose this weekend to Manitoba they will be 2 games behind the Bisons with 2 games remaining however Manitoba will hold the tiebreaker. Regina is coming off a 27-46 loss on the road against Alberta in which they fell victim to Alberta’s dominant run game which racked up 219 yards on 19 rushes. Regina did have over 100 yards more of total offense in the loss in week 5 to Alberta.

WR Brendt Adams

Adams led the Bisons in receiving yards with 5 catches for 92 yards and a touchdown last week. He has 21 receptions for 341 yards and 3 touchdowns so far this season.

WR AK Gassama

Gassama has 22 receptions for 258 yards and a touchdown this season. Last week he had 6 catches for 56 yards.

DE Tristan Francis

Francis had 2 solo tackles and 2 assisted tackles last week. He also had 2 QB hurries and a run stop.

DT Collin Kornelson

Kornelson had 2 run stops and 2 QB hurries last week. He has generated pressure on passing plays that stands out as exceptional among defensive tackles multiple times throughout this season.

CLB Marko Bockru

Bockru had a solo tackle, an interception, and 2 pass breakups last week.

WLB Nick Thomas

Thomas had 3 solo tackles, 2 assisted tackles, and a forced fumble last week.

HB Jackson Sombach

Sombach had 3 solo tackles, a QB hurry, and a stop against the pass last week.

CB Jacob Tkachuck

Tkachuck had 5 solo tackles and a fumble recovery last week. He also had a QB hurry, a run stop, and a stop against the pass. He did not allow any big plays his way last week.

Prediction

Manitoba has had a lot of games in which their pass rush has been quite impressive and Jackson Tachinski is beginning to look quite dangerous as a dual-threat quarterback. The Rams have been playing football at a level that is a lot better than their record would suggest but I am going to predict the Bisons to win a close one here 30-24.
